Our sculptural range is called Mizumizu which means water in Japanese.
To us, water is a metaphor for presence and the natural flow of life and creativity.
It is from this space that we design and create jewellery.
Each design was inspired by a poem

  • to my inner child

I know you try to hide
    your whimsy and your wildness
    but don't worry little heart,
it wont leave you for good
    you remind me of wonder
and I repay you with wisdom

    fly freely little sunbird
don't let the world decide your dreams
without rain, there are no flowers
    you’re a blossom and a bud
    a feather and a force

  • .

  • We need to feel trust to be vulnerable and we need to be vulnerable in order to trust. – Brené Brown

  • Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
There is a field. I'll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass,
The world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase each other
    Doesn't make any sense.

Mizumizu holds a special place within Noem&Co. It is a collaboration between Mariet and goldsmith Sharon.

When Mariet and Sharon met in Greyton they connected over shared paths and a vision for jewellery that speaks to the self beyond ego. Their first collection was sculpted from wild Greyton clay and later cast into enduring rings that keep the texture and spirit of the earth. These designs flow like water, telling stories and holding feelings in tangible form.

What are Mariet & Sharon's backgrounds?

Sharon is a master goldsmith and the former owner of Scarab Jewellery, with decades of experience. Her expertise in traditional metalwork brings timelessness to each piece, while her eye for detail ensures that every Mizumizu creation is as resilient as it is beautiful. Sharon’s skill with metals is grounded in the techniques she’s studied, giving each piece a sense of legacy and artistry.

Mariet, the owner of Noemnoem Jewellery, comes from a background in design, with a love for nature-inspired, one-of-a-kind creations that highlight organic forms. Having crafted jewellery inspired by botanical elements and earthy textures, Mariet brings a modern, artistic sensibility to Mizumizu. Her approach to design is intuitive and playful, focusing on telling stories and sparking emotional connections with each piece.
